It has been awhile since I posted so here I go again

It has been awhile since I posted but I had had to have surgery on my foot and spent awhile on crutches and a  cast. Now that I am doing physical therapy and doing more walking and feeling better I can go up and down the stairs so I can get down to my craft room again and play with all the new stamps and paper I bought from the new Fall and Winter catalog. I am late getting started on my Holiday cards and gifts so now that I can get around better I have no excuse not to go down and play in my new craft room. I hope to post more pictures soon. Some will be books and cards I made earlier and some will be the things I am going to make for all the upcoming holidays. I am behind on taking pictures as my camera was lost and I am getting a new one and hopefully I will be able to take half ways decent pictures to show the things I am making.

Fall is here already

Well as you can see it has been awhile since I last posted and I hope to be consistent with my posts from now on. I had foot surgery on Aug 10 and I still am not suppose to be on my foot for very long. I am still in a walking boot cast and since it was my right foot that means not driving. I sometimes feel like a prisoner since I have to wait until my husband or someone can take me places and I don't like to bother people. The worst part is that my craft room is down stairs and I am not really allowed to walk that much. So I am happy that I am now in physical therapy so that soon I will be able to go up and down the stairs and start using some of our wonderful new fall and winter papers and stamp set I ordered and start making some cards and gifts and everything. The fall CTMH catalog has so many new and wonderful things in it that I want to start playing with all of them. I lost my camera so I have not had pictures to post for awhile so I just got a new one and I am learning the in's and out's of how the pictures will be. I hope to post some items that I have made in the past few months and hopefully soon some new items from the new book.

I forgot I do have a picture of a card

Here is a picture of the card I made for my oldest daughters birthday. It was my first try at a tri fold card. I was bad though I did not use CTMH paper. But I was happy with the way the card turned out. Now I have to take the time to take pictures of the other things I have made like a book with cards and a box with cards. So hopefully I will get these taken and posted real soon. As you can see I am not very good at taking pictures yet but I will keep trying.

My new craft room

I have to say a big Thank You to Kim Loberg for coming over and spending several hours out of her very busy schedule to help me with my blog. She showed me how to add pictures and things from the web so that I can show everyone all the special things in my life. Today since I haven't uploaded any of my cards or other things I have made from all the wonderful products that Close To My Heart has I am going to post pictures of my craft room that I have gotten all organized with the help of my 2 son-in-laws who helped put bookcases together and attach them to the wall and finish the trim around the window and doors so that I can work and play and even teach classes in there now. With the help of these 3 wonderful people Kim for helping with helping me with computer things and both of my Son-in-Laws Bill and Cesar for helping finish my craft room, I can now enjoy having a great place to create my crafts or just sit and read a book. I would show you before and after pictures of the room but I never took any pictures before since it was such a disaster. Now it is a haven to create and teach in. Thank You all so very much.

My second try and blogging

Well its now late May and I am posting again. We arrived home from Yuma at at the end of March so we could watch our youngest grandchildren while their parents went to a Wedding in Cancun, Mexico. What a good week we had with the kids, (busy but good).
I have been reorganizing my craft room so that I can start making cards and gifts using all the wonderful new things from CTMH's new summer catalog. Well I will be trying to post since this is all new to me. I love going to all the great consultants blogs and seeing all the wonderful cards and scrapbook pages and gifts that everyone makes. I only hope I can make things half as nice as what I see on all the blogs and web sites.
Well it is going on the end of May and we are still waiting for Spring to come and hopefully stay. We are having one of our spring storms. Yesterday we had high winds and lots of rain. Today we had some rain and a few minutes of sun trying to peak out but not for long. Well I will hope the best for the weather and hope even more that I get my cards made and figure out how to post them on this blog. If anyone reads this say a prayer for me that my meager computer skills.

My first try at blogging

I am not sure how this is going to turn out but I thought I would give blogging a try. It may even help with the creative part of me ( I hope). Now I just have to get down to the craft room and start creating cards or somthing so I will have something to post so I can actually tell people I have my own blog. So Today Sept 10th is my fist day as a blogger. Wish me luck world I will need it.
